Are you feeling low in mood, anxious or more stressed than normal? Are you having trouble getting to sleep or do you find that you keep waking up at night? Or maybe you're not really sure how you are feeling, but just need somebody to talk to.

Our NHS therapists and counsellors are here to help you to feel like 'yourself' again. TALKWORKS is free and confidential, available to adults (age 18+), living across Devon (outside Plymouth which is covered by Plymouth Options).

Our therapists and counsellors are fully trained NHS clinicians. We deliver treatments with a strong research evidence base as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

Our waiting times are short. We aim to offer you your first appointment within six weeks, depending on availability and the current demands of our service.

We can offer you one-to-one sessions with an NHS therapist either face to face, by video call or over the telephone. We also have early morning and evening appointments available. We offer our service across Devon and can see you locally at one of our team bases, GP surgeries, or in various locations in the community.

If you would like to access our free NHS Talking Therapies service, you can self-refer for support. Once we have received your referral, a member of our team will then be in touch to arrange an initial appointment. TALKWORKS is not able to provide a crisis response service. If you need help urgently, you can access emergency mental health support information on our website.
