Do you, or someone you care about, have a diagnosis of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and want to find out more about this condition?
Our ‘TALKWORKS For Understanding IBS’ workshop, delivered in partnership with the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Trust, is a two hour session, providing information and advice for living with IBS, based on the latest evidence. We will look at both the physical and emotional aspects of IBS and how these can interact to produce and maintain unpleasant symptoms. The workshop is open to adults age 18+, living in Devon (outside Plymouth, which is covered by Plymouth Options).
This will include:
- What is IBS? Symptoms, possible causes and myths.
- Why do gut symptoms keep going?
- What are the links between diet and IBS?
- What is the latest evidence for treatment?
- What can we do to help us to manage the symptoms?
You’ll come away from the session with lots of useful information and resources to help you make helpful changes going forward. There will be time at the end for questions and feedback.
