Pride Month is a chance to celebrate acceptance, diversity and equality for all. Keep an eye out for our TALKWORKS team at two local events this month, where we'll be raising awareness of our services, and the wellbeing support that's available through the NHS.
Our first stop will be at Exeter Respect Festival, a family-friendly 2-day event on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June. The festival is Exeter’s annual celebration of diversity, with the aim of bringing our communities together and celebrating our differences and commonalities. Our team will be on site both days, raising awareness of the support we can offer to adults across Devon. Stop by and try out our new wellbeing game, where you'll have the chance to test your steady hand, in exchange for a self-care tip! There'll be plenty of other activities on offer over the weekend, including a wide choice of food and drink, local businesses selling goods from around the world, and prominent local organisations promoting their services.
The weekend after Respect Festival, our team will be at Exmouth Pride on Saturday 17 June. The event will be running from 11am - 6:30pm in the Manor Gardens in Exmouth, and we'll be on site all day to answer any questions about our service. Join us as we celebrate diversity and equality for all, plus enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day.
At TALKWORKS, we welcome referrals to our service from different backgrounds, genders, religions and sexuality. If you are struggling with low mood, stress, worry or anxiety, our team are here to help. Our NHS service is open to adults (age 18+) across Devon (outside Plymouth) and is free to access for all. We offer a wide range of therapy options including 1-to-1 sessions with a therapist, wellbeing workshops, group therapy, live text-based therapy and online self-help. You do not need to speak to a GP before accessing our services. You can self-refer to TALKWORKS by calling 0300 555 334 (our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am - 4:45pm) or by filling out an online self-referral form via our website.
