TALKWORKS pioneer volunteer Archie wins 'Together' award at Pride of DPT

Our pioneer volunteer, Archie, was recently honoured with the ‘Together’ award at this year’s Pride of Devon Partnership NHS Trust awards. The award involves celebrating people who actively champion meaningful involvement and inclusion of people using our services.

Archie, a TALKWORKS service user from July 2022 to March 2023, was the co-founder of our volunteer programme. During his time volunteering at TALKWORKS, he has played an instrumental role in the development and launch of the programme. He has helped to co-create our volunteer training programme, develop the brief for our volunteering leaflet and attend a number of local events to help promote our service. He has also sat on our volunteer steering group and provided valuable support from a lived experience perspective.
