Psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWP)
Our Psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWPs) listen to and work with people who are experiencing a common mental health difficulty, such as low mood, depression, anxiety and stress. The role includes asessing patients, providing low-intensity one-to-one cognitive behaviour therapy sessions, facilitating group therapy and delivering wellbeing workshops. A PWP will also be responsible for working with other services to ensure patients receive excellent care to help them recover.

High intensity therapists (HI)
Our High Intensity therapists (HIs) work with more complex mental health difficulties in relation to anxiety and depression. This includes post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). A HI will be able to deliver a wide range of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as the main intervention.
The role will involve assessing the service user’s difficulties and formulating a treatment plan to best suit the individual’s needs. High intensity treatment sessions usually last longer than a session with a PWP and are more frequent (they usually take place once a week, rather than every couple of weeks). All therapists will be given full training and will be accredited by the relevant professional body on completion of the training.
